Argentina volunteering

Join us in Argentina

Bring your adventurous spirit to stunning South America. Volunteers will be based in Córdoba, the second most populous city in Argentina. Córdoba is a beautifully historic city located in the centre of Argentina, approximately 700km from Buenos Aires, the capital. Volunteers are required to have at least a basic level of Spanish, but the program includes one week of Spanish lessons to kick-start your experience. The accommodation for the program will be either with local host families or in a room at a student residence.

Program costs: US$250 application fee + US$495 per week (1-4 weeks), and US $200 per week after this. This includes accommodation, meals, coordination, supervision, training, and airport pick up.

Gender Equality Project

Are you passionate about gender rights and equality. Want to help girls and women in their fight for independence and better health? In the Gender Equality program, volunteers work at a centre for single mothers who come from abusive homes or have been abandoned. The centre focuses on women's rights, women's education and empowerment, assistance with prevention of domestic violence, and women's health. Volunteers in this program can get involved with workshops, such as sewing or dressmaking, as well as caring and accompanying female victims of abuse and domestic violence. Other tasks include teaching basic English, making diapers, helping in the kitchen and maintaining the library of the centre. Please note volunteers for this program need to have at least an intermediate understanding of Spanish. If you would like to join this project but have a basic understanding, please talk to our team about how you can get involved with Spanish lessons.

Community Development Project

Do you want to help create better communities? Meet locals and help them meet their goals? At the Community Development project volunteers work with children and adults on improving their education by teaching English or assisting with other tasks, which are related to community development. You will help at a small open library, which is located in a poor neighborhood of Cordoba and organizes a variety of recreational and cultural activities for the community. Volunteer tasks may include the organization of recreational activities, teaching English to children and adults, developing creative programs, such as art, music or dance and help with administrative issues. Please note volunteers for this program need to have at least an intermediate understanding of Spanish. If you would like to join this project but have a basic understanding, please talk to our team about how you can get involved with Spanish lessons.

Sports Project

Are you a rugby, soccer or hockey fan? Do you understand the confidence that can be gained from sports participation? In the Sports Program, volunteers work with children in impoverished neighborhoods in the outskirts of Cordoba city. Sports such as soccer, rugby and hockey are played in different seasons and on different days of the week. The group spirit of these team sports is helping the children to change some of their already ingrained habits and it teaches them to fight for what they want from life. Further, the health of the kids improves through the training and some receive education about nutrition and healthy eating. Volunteers can help by playing with and teaching the kids about sport, improving the field, fundraising for the club, helping in the kitchen with healthy food preparation, teaching some basic English and translating promotional texts. Please note volunteers for this program need to have at least an intermediate understanding of Spanish. If you would like to join this project but have a basic understanding, please talk to our team about how you can get involved with Spanish lessons.
